Aparajito: A Ray of Hope for Bengali Cinema

কাল বাসে ফেরার পথে
বৃষ্টি নিয়ে ফিরেছি..
Ray of Hope
এখন রাত জাগা তারা হয়ে বৃষ্টি গুনছে
আর জোনাকিদের মাঝে Ray কে ছুঁয়ে যাচ্ছে..
পথের পাঁচালী হয়তো আপনার পূর্বপুরুষ দেখেছিল..
অপরাজিত হওয়ার সুযোগ আপনারই হাতে!  

এই প্রথম কোনো ফিল্মের trailer না দেখেই সেটা দেখে এলাম!

কারণ একটাই - সত্যজিৎ রায়-এর জীবন একটু হলেও জানা।

এভাবে যে কোনো মানুষকে জানা সম্ভব নয় সেটাও সত্যি!

তবুও ওই হালকা আভাসটুকু তো পাওয়া যায়..

এই লেখাটাকে কোনোভাবেই রিভিউ বলে চালাতে রাজি নই। কারন আমি ক্রিটিক নই। এটাকে বোধকরি বিশ্লেষণ বলা যেতে পারে! আমার মত মানুষ যে এখনও অপু ট্রিলজি কমপ্লিট করেনি দেখা, তার থেকে আর কতোটা ভালো লেখা আশা করবেন? তাও প্রথম চেষ্টা..

Aparajito is an introspection into the world of Ray. We don't know if it's successful or not. But it was a valiant effort to portray that old charismatic era. I had freaking goosebumps throughout. It was basically a purification of our souls. Anik Dutta has created a masterful tribute to the original masterpiece!:)

The treatment of sound was mind-blowing! Debojyoti Mishra did a commendable job. It's undoubtedly one of his beautiful works. It was thrilling-pleasing-soothing! Amader Panchali is marvelously written and it's such a poignant and melodramatic composition! And then there's Arko's wholeheartedly singing.. 🖤❤️🤍 It's on loop now. 

And what to say about Jeetu Kamal?

He was just perfect as Aparajito Ray.

The walks, the gesture & the style - literally everything is so similar to Ray! 

And the voice of Chandrasish Ray as Ray will be forever etched in our hearts!

We had no idea that it was dubbed! We thought it was Jeetu's own voice. Surreal is an understatement!

Debashish Roy was a gem of a find for the "cinematographer role".

And Paran Bandopadhyay is our living legend! Such a comic relief.

I had my fair share of doubts about Saayoni Ghosh, but she excelled with her role as Bimala Ray!

Anusha and Ayushmaan did full justice to their characters! 

And that ending with Martin Scorsese's call was killer. Even though it was fiction. We even have a reaction video to that. I don't know if it counts as a spoiler. I'll add the video here. If it's a copyright issue let me know in the comments or in my mail.

Storyboarding গুলো খুবই সুন্দরভাবে দেখানো হয়েছে.. 

এটাকে আমাদের মত নিউ জেনারেশনের সাথে Ray এর পরিচয় করার মাধ্যম বলা যায়!

এই নতুন নাম গুলো বেশ মানিয়েছে..

কারণ অপু এখন অপরাজিত.. 🌻

রাগ দেশের celebration টা মন কাড়ার মত! মনের গহীনে থেকে যেতে বাধ্য, এক পরিচিত বৃষ্টির মত।

আমরা সবাই পথের পাঁচালী দেখেছি কিন্তু তার অভিযানটি তো দেখিনি?

সেটাই এখানে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে..

আর বাংলা সিনেমার পাশে দাঁড়াতে হবেনা,  (it is enough to stand on its own!)

আরাম করে হেলান দিয়ে বসে দেখুন অথবা শুয়ে পড়ুন।

সাহানা দি যে কখন হেঁটে বেরিয়ে গেছে ধরতে পারিনি, আসলে ছবি তোলায় একটু ইমোশনাল হয়ে পড়েছিলাম! Actually cinema is nothing but an experience.

ফিল্মের শুরুতে মানিক বাবু যে পরিচয় দিলেন অপরাজিত হিসেবে..

সেটা এভাবে অবশেষে অপরাজিত থেকে যাবে এটা কী ভাবা গেছিল! 🌿

হয়তো কিছু ব্যাকরণগত ত্রুটি থেকেই গেছে.. সেটাই সমীচীন।

এরম একটা সিনেমা দেখতে পারলে

মন খারাপের কালো মেঘ কেটে যায়,

নতুন করে বাঁচার আশা খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়..

আর পাওয়া যায় কিছু মুহূর্ত বন্দী করে রাখার আশ্বাস।

কিছু ব্যক্তিগত মান-অভিমান, মনব্যথা ব্যতী রেখে দেখেই আসুন অপরাজিত, নাহলে সেই মনের কোণে হৃদয়ের কুঠরীর কাছে পরাজিত থেকেই যাবেন!
